After a lifetime of working with horses, both wild and domesticated, from the privileged confines of top breeding establishments to the rugged wilderness of the Guy Fawkes River National Park and the Bicentennial National Trail, Erica Jessup made a commitment to share her innate wisdom and extensive experience.
Erica works with adults, teens and kids looking to grow their confidence, extend their relationship with their own horse, or horses in general. Passionate about pack saddling, Erica loves nothing more than to head off into the wilds with a few horses and a swag. Sharing her love with others on regular trekking experiences, she revels in the wonder they experience sitting around the campfire after a good meal, with the stars blazing above.
Clinics are opportunities to learn new skills, gain confidence, improve human-horse communication skills and move to the next level in your relationship with horses. Erica is all about empowering horse lovers to expand their horizons and experience greater joy with their horses.
A practical and down to earth horsewoman, Erica teaches the skills that build confidence and communication and allow the freedom to roam and explore.
Our Philosophy
Building safe, healthy, respectful relationships between horses and humans. The number one rule with horses is The KISS principle. (Keep it Simple, Sweetie!)
Training
They say ‘you can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.’ That’s true. It’s not about force or coercion, it’s about understanding.
Trekking
We love pack saddling and trekking. Heading out into remote areas of Australian Bush on horseback for self sufficient adventure Is our idea of bliss!
